The design is based on the inner ring of a flower, which perfectly rotates
on its axis. The petal segments draw nearer as the invite is closed. Each
segment interlocks creating a continuous swirl. The circular petals are
absorbent pores made from natural cotton fibres and saturated or outlined in
a deep ruby red. The surfaces are engraved with symbolic peony, which
represents love and affection.
This invitation is called day and night to reflect the movement of a flower
as the hours pass and night falls, delivering completion.
